Recenzie Starters

SUPRAVIEŢUIREA ESTE DOAR ÎNCEPUTUL

O fată trebuie să facă o alegere cumplită.
Părinţii ei? Morţi.
Fratele ei? Bolnav.
Salvarea? Este posibilă... Cu preţul de a fi altcineva!
În cine poate să aibă încredere?
În nimeni.

Fanii seriei Jocurile foamei vor îndrăgi acest roman.

 My opinion:

Fate?! Nhaaaa….  A trecut cateva luni ca eu sa o iau in sfarsit.

O MY GOD!

Personajele.

Blake… Of Blake… Aveam atatea sperante puse in el. Insa in sensul bun al cuvantului.

Dwellers of Darkness Release

Some days feel like years, but in Ember Brycin’s case just the opposite is true. She had only been in the Otherworld for a day or two when she returned back to the Earth's realm. But it is three years later on Earth. Em is now 22. It would matter if she was human, but she’s not. She is a Dae, part Demon and part Fay, with a little Dark Dweller thrown in to make her even more of a freak.

Seeing Seattle rebuilt only confirms she has been gone three years. For her it was not long ago that the Seattle area was just rubble of concrete and death. All done by her hand.

One thing that hasn’t changed, though, is her undeniable connection to Eli Dragen, who is sexy, gorgeous, and even more volatile and frustrating. But her problems go way past him. The Seelie Queen of the Otherworld still holds Mark, Em’s father, and her friends, Ryan, and Josh as hostages. Em needs to rescue them without, once again, getting caught and being used as a pawn to help the Queen regain possession of Earth. At the same time Ember is in hot water with Lars, the Unseelie King, after breaking her contract with him.

As some secrets have come to light others seem to become even more enigmatic. The only truth Ember knows is,everyone is harboring secrets. As Eli’s past is revealed, Em understands more clearly why he acts the way he does and how much their lives are intertwined. But she also knows Eli is holding something back, something that could change their relationship forever.

Em herself continues to wrestle with her feelings toward Torin and her own secret she’s withholding from Kennedy. As the tension for war mounts between the Seelie and Unseelie (Light and Dark), the tension at the Dark Dweller’s compound mounts even more as they prepare to obtain the sword no matter what the price. But is Ember the answer to the location of the sword? Is she the one to fulfill the prophecy? As usual nothing is ever what it seems.

Stacey Marie Brown by day is an Interior/Set Designer, by night a writer of Paranormal Fantasy, Adventure, and Literary Fiction. She grew up in Northern California, where she ran around on her family’s farm, raising animals, riding horses, playing flashlight tag, and turning hay bales into cool forts. Even before she could write, she was creating stories and making up intricate fantasies. Writing came as easy as breathing. She later turned that passion into acting, living and traveling abroad, and designing. Though she had never stopped writing, moving back to San Francisco seemed to have brought it back to the forefront and this time it would not be ignored.

When she’s not writing she’s out hiking, spending time with friends, traveling, listening to music, or designing.

Darkness of Light
Synopsis:
Freak. Witch. Crazy. Schizo.

Ember Brycin has been called them all. She’s always known she’s different. No one has ever called her normal, even under the best circumstances. Bizarre and inexplicable things continually happen to her, and having two different colored eyes, strange hair, and an unusual tattoo only contributes to the gossip about her.

When the latest school explosion lands her in a facility for trouble teens, she meets Eli Dragen, who’s hot as hell and darkly mysterious. Their connection is full of passion, danger, and secrets. Secrets that will not only change her life, but what and who she is—leading her down a path she never imagined possible.

Between Light and Dark, Ember finds a world where truth and knowledge are power and no one can be trusted. But her survival depends on finding out the truth about herself. In her pursuit, she is forced between love and destiny and good and evil, even when the differences between them aren’t always clear. At worst, she will incite a war that could destroy both worlds. At best, she will not only lose her heart but her life and everyone she loves. Once the truth is out, however, there will be no going back. And she’ll definitely wish she could

Fire in the Darkness
Synopsis:

It's been four weeks since Ember Brycin witnessed what her powers are capable of. The Electrical Current Storm has turned Seattle, Washington into a natural disaster zone. The death toll is in the thousands with countless others homeless and hungry.

And Ember is the one who caused it. Something she will have to live with every day.

Those people who were unable to escape either turned quickly into gangs or live in shelters. Ember, on the other hand, can’t do either. With a price on her head and a Dark Dweller on her ass, she is constantly on the move. Both Light and Dark are hunting her for their own purpose to use her as a weapon or a pawn in the war between the Unseelie King of the Dark and the Seelie Queen of the Light.

Em needs help but doesn’t know who to trust: Lars, the mystery man Torin told her to find? Torin, the Seelie Queen’s personal knight, who has sworn to keep Em safe? Or Eli, who wants to turn her over to the Unseelie King, but whom she has an undeniable, intense connection with?

No matter what she chooses she will probably lose—her life or everything and everyone she loves.

Author: Patricia Eimer
EBook: 368 pages
Release Date: February 24, 2014
ISBN: 978-1622661183

Not Even Death Keeps a Good Demoness Down

There’s never an end to the crazy when you’re demon spawn. Not that Faith Bettincourt’s complaining. She’s been patching things up with her angelic on-again off-again boyfriend, Matt, and her best-friend-turned-sister-in-law is soon giving birth to the Anti-Christ Part Deux. Oh, and Faith is saving kids from Death in her pediatric unit one soul at a time. Life is good.

Until Faith accidentally runs over the Angel of Death and is forced to take his place. Now she’s taking lives instead of saving them. Which is kind of a problem when you’re a nurse. As if that weren’t bad enough, she is suddenly thrust into the worst scenario of them all--Matt’s ex Brenda is back, and she’s brought the Apocalypse with her.

Faith’s not about to give up the world...or her man. But when the chips are down, what’s a demoness supposed to do? Besides take matters into her own hands, of course.

About Patricia:

Patricia Eimer is a small-town girl fated to be a storyteller. After a stint of "thinking practically," she earned degrees in Business and Economics, but her passion has always been a good book. She lives in Pittsburgh with her two kids and a husband who learned the art of frozen pizza to give her more time to write. When she’s not writing she can be found fencing or arguing with her dogs about plot points. Most days the beagle wins, but the dalmatian is a close second. She’s a distant third.

EXCERPT 1

“Her time has come. Let the child go. Let her find peace.”
“It’s not her time.” I pictured the most remote, desolate island on Earth, a small spit of land near Antarctica covered in snow and surrounded by icy water, and did my best to make it seem real in my mind. A window in reality slid open behind Michael, opening on the coldest part of that very remote bit of nowhere.
“What’s one day? Twenty-four measly hours? What does it mean in the end?”
“It’s everything.” I lifted my hand up to his chest and gave him a solid jolt of dark power straight to the sternum.

Syrinx pulled a fast one on Pan to escape his raging lust. The God of Chastity wasn't about to break her vows and succumb to his temptations. Transported to the twenty-first century, she runs a florist shop—fulfilling her fake, mortal life. Until the breathtaking Parker Thomas hires her to decorate his grand estate for a gala. Five hundred roses? Easy enough. Except Parker makes her feel things she can't ignore...

As the God of Fertility, Pan is used to maidens flocking in droves to his pastures. So when Syrinx denies him, he's determined to win the one that got away. He poses as a mortal to get close to her, but he doesn't count on falling hard for his conquest—hard enough to make a life and stay.

But Syrinx is falling in love with a man that doesn't exist. Can Pan hide his identity forever, or will the truth tear them apart?

Top 5 Goddesses

I’ve been asked to write a post about Goddesses in honor of my book Pan’s Conquest which just released this week! My book features the Goddess of Chastity, Syrinx. We are all our own goddess of something, and I’d love to hear in the comments section which goddess everyone following this blog is. I consider myself the Goddess of Impatience! Or perhaps, the Goddess of Procrastination!
In honor of Goddesses, I’d like to share my top five goddess’s with you and why I chose them:

#1. Gaia : The personification of Earth. Gaia is the great mother of all, creator and giver of birth to Earth and its universe. I like to think of her as mother nature. If she were here today, she’d definitely be an environmentalist. I’m dreaming up a book about her as I write this blog.

#2. Athena: The goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. So she’s basically good at everything. I especially love how this goddess is a strong and smart woman who led troops in battle. How cool is that? Out of all the goddesses, I think I’d chose to be Athena.

#3. Aura: The divine personification of the breeze. She is depicted as a billowing sail in an overhead arch. Not only does she have a cool name, but I’d like to think she can transport herself in an instant, reappear and disappear. The breeze can be warm, but it can also be icy cold and fickle. I can only imagine what her personality would be like! Probably tempestuous.

#4. Hebe: The goddess of youth. Even though her name is kind of funny, think about the power she has. In mythology, she grants a god’s wish to become young again in order to fight a formidable foe. So she’s the fountain of youth. She’ll probably never have wrinkles, and her metabolism will never slow down- like mine when I reached thirty. I used to be able to eat a whole bag of cookies, and now if I eat one, it goes right to my belly.

#5. Syrinx: The Goddess of Chastity. I’ve always liked Syrinx because of the flute solo I play by Debussy. You’d have to hear the solo in order to fully appreciate it. You can listen here on you tube:

It’s sad, longing, mysterious- the music made me wonder exactly what Syrinx was thinking. As the story goes, Syrinx turns herself into a reed to avoid Pan’s temptations. Pan cuts the reed and makes his flute. The story is a sad one, and has always stayed with me over all these years- enough that I decided to make my own ending and give them both a HEA (Happily Ever After.) Review Delicious (The Delicious #1) by Dora Sky

I met him at the bakery store where I work. The moment I saw him I knew he was trouble. It was written all over his gorgeous face. When I laid my eyes on his body, my heart started beating in double beats - everything about him screamed bad boy. I wanted to stay away from him but deep down I was dying to explore every inch of his muscular body. He tempted me and I fell under his spell without thinking it further. How can you not fall for someone who loves fudge cake? Ladies, a man who knows how to seduce you with sweets is not a keeper, he’s a sinner…

My opinion:

I receive this book in exchange for my honest review. And like the most book that I;ve read this year, I didn’t read the description and I didn’t know what to expect. But I have to say that I love it so so much. It was so great. And like the title, it was delicious.

It was different from the rest of the books that contains sexual explications. And also the actions was very unique.

I see my self when I’ve read about the girl. So antisocial, so into books, and more she loves Christian Grey. I was so surprise to read that. It is nice to see that are still people out there who prefer to read a book than to go in clubs and get drunk.
The idea of she meeting him in a  bakery store it is so sexy. And that because I love so much sweets.

I love that chemistry between Jenny and Ernest. They are so cute and sexual good together. And when I wanted more of theme, boom, the book is finished. WTF? It just make me more addicted and that because of the ending.

Now, I’m anxious to see how things is going to be between Jenny and Ernest. And more to see about that ending that make me so confused.

I recommend this book because it was fun to read it, and because, even if is s short story you will fall in love with the characters. It’s like pure life in this book, not fiction.:)
