Recenzie Iubire Monstruoasa de Carol Topolski
O poveste de dragoste perversa si morbida, ce sondeaza inima raului - raul care se poate ascunde oricand in casa de alaturi. Brendan si Sherilyn. O pereche de tineri casatoriti. Fiecare si-a gasit in celalalt sufletul-pereche si nimic nu-i poate desparti. Absorbiti de iubirea lor, raman o enigma pentru vecini si colegi, in ciuda curiozitatii unora dintre ei. Ceea ce se vede in exterior este doar un cuplu perfect intr-o casa perfecta, cu masina perfecta, parcata cuminte pe aleea din fata locuintei. Si apoi se naste un copil - contaminand aceasta viata imaculata in care nu e loc pentru un al treilea. Dar cei doi par sa gaseasca solutia ideala. Iar ceea ce poate fi un final fericit pentru un cuplu obisnuit devine, pentru toti ceilalti, un cosmar atroce...
Carol Topolski este psihoterapeut. Inainte de a se ocupa de psihanaliza, a fost organizatoare de festivaluri muzicale, directoare de publicitate, profesoara, directoare de gradinita, apoi a unui centru-adapost de ajutorare a femeilor maltratate, ofiter-supraveghetor pentru prizonieri eliberati conditionat si cenzor de filme. In prezent locuieste la Londra. Iubire monstruoasa, primul ei roman, a fost nominalizat la prestigiosul Orange Prize pe anul 2007.
My opinion:
Ei, cartea asta chiar m-a surprins. Nu m aşteptam la aşa ceva.
Am cumpărat-o doar pentru ca era foarte ieftina si m-a atras titlul. Iar citind descrierea nu mi-a dat prea multe informaţii in ceea ce priveşte miezul acţiunii. Si bine a făcut.
Mi-a plăcut in primul rand povestea si unicitatea ei. Ador chestiile filosofice, psihice. Si când sunt legate si de o crima, ei, pentru mine e combinaţia perfecta. Îmi plac chestiile horror si de neexplicat pentru natura omului. Mereu am fost atrasa de latura întunecată a omului. Si desi mi s-a părut de neconceput ceea ce unele personaje făceau, pot sa spun ca într-un fel le înţeleg. Nu ma întrebaţi motivul. Pur si simplu o fac.
Mi-a plăcut enorm de mult felul in care a fost construită acţiunea. Acel mod de a spune povestea prin ochii fiecărui om care a fost implicat in aceea mica lume a ororilor. Este minunata sa vezi reacţiile fiecăruia si sa vezi ca vieţile lor au fost distruse doar prin simplu fapt ca au avut contact cu întunericul. Nu credeam in aşa ceva, insa asta aduce povestea cu un pas mai aproape de realitate.
Si pe măsură ce pătrundeam in poveste, chiar am crezut asta. Felul in care autoarea s-a ocupat de fiecare detaliu, de fiecare personaj in parte si de gândurile lui... Pur si simplu crezi ca acest lucru chiar s-a întâmplat in realitate si are la dispoziţie toate informaţiile.
Ce pot sa spun de personaje fara sa nu divulge mai multe?! Legătura dintre personajele principale, in jurul cărora se învârte toată acţiunea, e de nedescris. Nu cred ca am mai citit despre o astfel de legătura in viaţa mea. Încerci să-i compătimeşti pe cei doi si chiar te atrag in micul lor cerc de nevinovăţie. Pe tot parcursul lecturii, autoarea m-a făcut sa cred cu tărie ce ceea ce ai au făcut este lucrul cel mai demn si nobil din lume. Chiar daca in subconştientul meu ştiam ca asta e greşit, foarte greşit. Si acum la terminarea cărţii, inca cred in motivele lor pentru înfăptuirea acelui lucru. V-am spus eu ca ador lucrurile sucite:))
Ce pot sa va mai spun... Mi-a plăcut coperta (mai mult decât cea din străinătate pentru ca nu trădează atât de mult povestea), mi-a plăcut acţiunea, modul in care aceasta te acaparează, limbajul folosit de autoare care e aşa la locul lui, fara vreo tenta de falsitate... Aşa ca o recomand cu căldura tuturor, dar mai ales celor care adora misterele, crimele învăluite in psihologic. Acesta e cartea voastră guys. Nu o rataţi.
